The Central Burlington FFA Chapter traveled to the Illinois FFA State Convention in Springfield this week. At the convention, students were able to participate in leadership development activities, explore different college and career options, and receive recognition for their accomplishments this year. The Central Burlington FFA Chapter was honored to be named the State Winners for the Heritage Program, sponsored by the Illinois Farm Bureau. This award focuses on the Chapter’s ability to promote National, State, Community, and Agricultural Heritage.
In addition, the Central Burlington FFA Chapter was recognized as not only the Section 6 Premier Chapter for the National Chapter Award, but recognized as the 4th place Premier Chapter in Illinois! The National Chapter Award analyzes 3 major areas that every FFA Chapter focuses on, these areas include Building Communities, Growing Leaders, and Strengthening Agriculture.
